Dante Pearson is a father defined by love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to his family. A father of four, Roman, Gianni, McKayla and Kennady, are at the core of everything he does, and for years, he has been fighting a painful and unjust custody battle to be reunited with his boys. As a Black father navigating a biased legal system, Dante has faced tremendous obstacles, but his strength has never wavered. He continues to challenge the barriers that have kept him from his sons, driven by a fierce commitment to giving Roman and Gianni the love, guidance, and stability they deserve.
Dante’s love for his children is undeniable, but so too is his sense of justice. He is not just fighting for his own family—he is part of a larger movement to confront the systemic inequities that plague Black families in the legal system. His journey has been filled with hardship, but through it all, Dante’s resolve remains strong. His faith in the power of love, family, and justice drives him to keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the path.
About McKenzie:
Standing alongside Dante is his wife, McKenzie Pearson, a powerful advocate, social worker, and partner in life. McKenzie is a crisis therapist with a passion for justice and healing, specializing in working with families and individuals facing trauma. Her expertise in family social science and clinical social work gives her a deep understanding of the emotional and psychological needs of children, families, and those experiencing crisis.
Beyond her professional work, McKenzie brings a unique strength to her role as a stepmother to Roman and Gianni. She is a constant source of love, support, and care in their lives, helping Dante navigate this difficult journey. As a social worker and advocate for Black families, McKenzie has spent her career fighting for equity, healing, and justice—values that shape her approach to both her professional and personal life. Together, Dante and McKenzie are working to create a world where Black families are preserved, uplifted, and protected.
